How do I edit an article?
Every article has an edit link that takes you into an editor where you can modify or extend the article. When you are in the editor, all you have to do is make your changes then click the Save Page button. If you don't want to save your changes, you can click the cancel link. If you want to practice editing in a safe environment where you can change anything without the risk of doing any damage to important content, go to the Sandbox. Before you edit your first article, you should read Editing basics which explains how to use the wiki editor and how to format the structure of an article (headings, subheadings, etc.) so it is easy for people to read.
The edit link is one of a number of links that appear visually as 'tabs' above the article text. If you are using a screen reader, you will find these links immediately following the article text and you will be able to jump straight to them by clicking the 'Jump to tools' link. The content of these 'tabs' are as follows:
article: contains the text of the article.
discussion: a place where you can discuss the article.
edit: click on this to go into the editor where you can modify or extend the article.
history: view the edit history for the article - what has been changed, when, and who changed it. Click on the history link for this article to see an example. You might find it a bit complicated though.
